Soojung Park, Prose Pages
Soojung Park combines traditional and modern techniques to craft her luminous works using clear acrylic sheets. By sanding, abrading, and etching horizontal grooves on these sheets, she infuses them with ink and pigments, creating color bands akin to horizon lines or archaeological layers. The light plays with these textures and colors, emitting an inner glow from the artwork.

The Skin of the Land, Jackie Leishman
The exhibition draws inspiration from a memorable experience Jackie Leishman had several years ago while hiking in Kolob Canyon within Zion National Park. During that hike, she encountered a man from Tennessee who made an annual pilgrimage to the western United States specifically for its breathtaking landscapes. When asked why he preferred the West over the beautiful mountains back East, he replied, ‘Because out West, I can see the skin of the land.’
